You need a marriage license to get married in California. Get yours less than 90 days before you get married.
You can get a copy of a birth certificate for someone born in San Francisco after 1906.
Not (how we think about it)
Only 2 unmarried persons over the age of 18 years of age with valid legal identification may apply for a marriage license in California. Anyone under 18 must obtain a court order through the Juvenile Court system.
The Office of Vital Records is responsible for registering all of the births and deaths that take place within the City and County of San Francisco only.
