Audio files on SF.gov
Audio files need to include a transcript to be accessible to everyone. Make sure your page meets City and federal standards by including a transcript.
Adding audio files
Check the audio file doesn’t already exist. Go to https://sf.gov/admin/content/media, filter by Type = Audio to check. If the file isn’t there, add media > Audio.
You can also go to the menu Content - Media - Add media - Audio to upload your file to SF.gov.
Your audio file must be under 100MB to upload. If your file is too large, you can upload it as a zip file or compress the file.
Give your audio file a clear, searchable name and upload the file.
Hit Save to publish the file. Your file is now on SF.gov, but not available to the public until you add it to a page.
You can then add audio files as links in any text editor, as you would a PDF.
