The content management system (CMS) for SF.gov is Drupal.

On November 9, 2021, we updated our editor log in page on SF.gov. We removed the formerly “Federated login” link. If you’re a City employee, you can login with your DSW# and password, just as you do for Outlook and the SF Employee Portal. If you’re not a City employee, you can log in with your SF.gov username and password.

We’ve also cleaned up the logged-in landing page and included some quick links to help you get right to your content.

Login instructions

  1. Go to https://sf.gov/user/login

  2. Click the Log in button, if you’re a City employee.

  3. You will be redirected to a new, City-branded, page

  4. On that page, log in using your existing DSW# and password combination - you may be prompted to enter a code sent to you via text

  5. Once logged in, you should automatically be redirected to SF.gov. You can access your content or add new content from the quick links.

  6. There will be a dark gray admin bar running across the top of all pages on SF.gov:

If you run into any issues, please contact the SF.gov Product Manager, Cynthia Louie, at cynthia.louie@sfgov.org There may be a discrepancy between the email address we have for you in SF.gov and the email address the city is telling us you have, such as the addition of a middle initial.
