This collection of frequently-asked questions about the Bulk Loader is intended to 1)provide information that is otherwise not readily available, and 2) help readers assess whether the Bulk Loader is suitable for bulk-loading a particular data set.

General

 What happens when you try to bulk-load a base address without an associated parcel (no values in the block and lot fields)?

If the submitted base address does not already exist in the EAS database, then it will be added to the database without an association to a parcel.

If the submitted base address already exists in the EAS database, then there is no change to the base address nor its associated parcel(s).

Virtual-addresses

 What happens when you try to bulk-load a base address and associate it with the service parcel?

If the submitted base address does not already exist in the EAS database, then it will be added to the database as associated to the service parcel.

If the submitted base address already exists in the EAS database, then the association to the service parcel will be added to the database, and the address' location will be symbolized on the map as being virtual.
