Cloning of Web Server, Geo Server and DB Server on VMware at 200 Paul Data Center.

  1. Shutdown Web Server - SFGIS192-QA
    1. Logged in as root
    2. Ran shutdown -h now
  2. Clone SFGIS192-QA as SFGIS195-QA
    1. Used vCenter interface
    2. storage on VM C drive LUN50 - EMC160 RG16
  3. Shutdown Geo Server - SFGIS194-QA
    1. Logged in as root
    2. Ran dtomcat5 stop
    3. Ran shutdown -h now
  4. Clone SFGIS194-QA as SFGIS197-QA
    1. Used vCenter interface
    2. storage on VM C drive LUN23 - EMC270 RG27
  5. Shutdown DB Server - SFGIS193-QA
    1. Logged in as root
    2. su - postgres
    3. Halt postgres database: run pg_ctl stop -D /u01/pgsql/data
    4. exit (out of postgres user)
    5. Ran shutdown -h now
  6. Clone SFGIS193-QA as SFGIS196-Prod
    1. Used vCenter interface
    2. storage on VM C drive VMFS LUN27-EMC10 RG1
