Guidelines for divisions within departments

For your group, you can choose one of the following options:

You will be wholly responsible for the content on your group’s page.

Department landing page option

You can create a department landing page if your group has:

  • Multiple public services

  • Staff who are able and willing to keep the page up to date

A separate department landing page is also a good choice if you want to show specific people (as Profiles) who lead the division.

Example: “Divisions” with their own department landing pages on the City Administrator page

Info page option

Use an info page linked from the parent department’s About page if your group has:

  • More than a few sentence’s worth of content to explain what they do

  • Only 1 service (if any) used by the public

  • Services only internal to City staff

Example: See “Our divisions” info page links on Adult Probation’s About page

About page blurb option

Represent your group with a blurb on your parent department’s About page if your group has:

  • A few sentence’s worth of content to explain what they do

  • Only 1 service (if any) used by the public

  • Services only internal to City staff

Example: TIDA’s About page
