Mark translations as outdated

When you publish a page on SF.gov, the CMS automatically Google-translates the page.

Submit the Get human translations form to get your page translated by humans.

Once we’ve published human translations for a page, that page keeps the human translations. If you update the English, the translations will not auto-update. You must tell us the translations are outdated.

To tell us translations are outdated, mark the translations as outdated in Drupal. You mark translations as outdated by selecting the Mark translations as outdated button that appears above the Save button when you’re editing an English page.

Selecting the Mark translations as outdated button before you hit save will change the translation status of your page to:

We check the Translations dashboard for pages with the Translation Outdated symbol. When we find outdated translations, we’ll reach out to your team about updating your translations.
